25 Amazon Must-Haves: Summer 2019

25 Amazon Must-Haves: Summer 2019

Do you ever catch yourself browsing Amazon for interesting finds? I can’t tell you how many YouTube videos I’ve watched from different influencers about their favorite Amazon products. Though I gotta admit, I’m still an Amazon skeptic. Partly because I’ve made some crappy purchases in the past and also because one of my best friends worked on their customer service team for a few years and would tell me crazy stories.

I know I usually write about all things Kingdom, Jesus, and Church but today, I thought I would share a little something different. Here are some of my favorite Amazon finds!

Here is an updated list. Also check out my previous post from May 2018, “My Favorite Favorites

How to Find Your Stride in Ministry

How to Find Your Stride in Ministry

Have you ever felt like you were under the pressure to be someone you're not? I totally relate.

Maybe you're feeling the tension of trying to fit in when you know you're made to stand out.

This video/blog is inspired by a very vivid vision I received last year in 2018, at a time where I sensed that I was being held back, criticized and even rejected. God was good to reposition me in a new place with leaders that have loved and mentored me as I am without trying to make me to be someone different.

Though we all have the same commissioning, we don't all have the same calling. I encourage you to pray and persist and purpose to align with leaders that will coach, train, champion, cheer and celebrate your calling and all God has created you to be. Kingdom-minded, Christlike leaders understand the honor and responsibility they have to partner with God to shepherd, mentor and train you to become all GOD created you to be. They will not try to pressure you into conforming to their comfort level. They will embrace your uniqueness and help you to emerge and flourish.

Give God Your Plans...Even When it Doesn't Make Sense

Give God Your Plans...Even When it Doesn't Make Sense

Have you ever been in the process of pursuing projects and plans that God has put on your heart only to sense that He wants you to wait?

Those moments can be confusing and even disappointing, right?

There are moments in our life when we set out on a path by our own will and determination and then realize, “Uh oh, something isn’t right here.” Or maybe you need to hit pause because unavoidable circumstances arise…other times you hear clearly from the Lord with what He wants you to do and you trust God and obey…only to find later it seems He changed His mind or is asking you to hold off, wait, focus on other things or give you a new assignment entirely.

These moments can create a tension between our soul (mind, will and emotions) and our spirit. Sometimes it causes us to question our own sanity. Sometimes it even makes us question God!

I had this happen to me recently.

Public Relations + Marketing: The Jesus Way

Public Relations + Marketing: The Jesus Way

I’m doing it. Breaking alllll the modern marketing rules. Rebelling against analytics and returning to the simple methods of Jesus: “Come and see/Go and Tell”

He had quite the PR crew in His short 3-ish years on earth. Trained up teams of two and sent them out to pray for people and prepare the way for His arrival. Lives were impacted, people were waiting expectantly and they used word of mouth to share their #GloryStories with everyone they knew. Big crowds drew because it started with two just sharing! How cool is that?! So imma do the same. Come along with me on this awesome adventure and I just ask that if these messages impact you...then be a dear and SHARE it. 😊

It’s not about drawing attention to myself- I’m just a Kingdom-crazed girl that’s goin’ for it and attempting to model how exhilarating and simple this Christlike adventure is really like so that you get empowered to live out your faith boldly and publicly on these internet streets!

Oh and it’s way cool to see people connecting all over the world- I’ve got instaFRIENDS in Spain, Australia, and Fiji...comment what state or country you’re from!!

Another Expert Speaks About Unmarried/Childless Women Being More Happy

Another Expert Speaks About Unmarried/Childless Women Being More Happy

The other night as I lay me down to sleep and was scrollin’ Facebook I came across a rather intriguing article. entitled, “Unmarried, Childless Women are Happier, Expert Says

This is something worthy of conversation. And according to the Merriam-Webster definition of “expert” I most definitely fit the qualifications (knowledge derived from experience/one with special knowledge representing mastery of a particular subject). I’d say my 33 years of experience being single and childless in addition to the hundreds of other single/childless women I’ve known/know, I have some things I’d like to say in response to this ridiculousness.’

Here are some words of encouragement to unmarried/childless women who deeply desire for a future family…

Q+A Session @ Ignite Youth - 5/26/19

Q+A Session @ Ignite Youth - 5/26/19

I had the honor of being invited by Pastor Isaiah Bosc as a guest speaker to Ignite Youth in Avondale, AZ on May 26, 2019.

Students submitted questions via social media that they would like to discuss for this Q+A session:

  1. Why do people suffer from depression?

  2. Is it scary being an adult?

  3. What is marriage all about?

  4. If there are thousands of other planets and galaxies, why would God choose us when we’re so little compared to everything else?

  5. How can I deal with my friends leaving me behind and lying to me?

  6. How do I avoid dry seasons in my life while still being committed to the things I’m committed to?

  7. How can I encounter God personally?

Seasons of Isolation - Is it Healthy?

Seasons of Isolation - Is it Healthy?

In today's IG Live Video I share some thoughts about seasons of isolation.

It was provoked from my pastor friend, Isaiah and thought it was worthy of having a conversation around.

Have you ever been processing through tough stuff in life and found yourself feeling a bit isolated and alone? So have I. And many others. Let's talk through it and discover how it can be healthy and holy and when it could be risky and destructive.

What God Has Me Working On - Join Me!

What God Has Me Working On - Join Me!

I betcha so much inner chaos could have been avoided had I just had the courage to inquire instead of assuming.
•••
Too often I read into things, overanalyze and take things as a personal attack and get offended without even considering that what was said may not have had anything to do with me. Or maybe I read into what wasn’t being said....
•••
I’m often on the other end of these silly assumptions and misunderstandings as well. Sometimes people take what I’m NOT saying as what I am saying. That’s what’s can be hard sometimes especially in this world of social media, right?
•••
So, sweet friend, if something I say or do feels personal or pointed, I invite you to simply reach out and initiate a quality conversation for the sake of clarity and connection. I wouldn’t want you to misunderstand something I say or to inadvertently offend you. I hope I am approachable enough to say, “Hey, could you help me understand what you meant by that?” I promise not to be defensive as long as there’s an openness to understand one another. No one likes their backs against a wall feeling defensive because of assumptions and accusations. Staying in curiosity is key to connection. It’s a principle I learned from the core values at Keller Williams as well as #KYLO.

Creative Space for Creatives

Creative Space for Creatives

A look inside a creative mind —>
Is there enough natural light?
Is there high energy allowed in the space?
Is it too cluttered or are there distractions that will take away from my creative flow?
Is it a free open space for me to move around?
Can I be messy during my creative process?
•••
These are just a few elements I sort through when in the creative zone. I’m a complete nut 🥜. Anyone relate?!
•••
My office space was so uninviting for my creative flow. It was hard to focus and have freedom to flow in my nutty creative brain. So, I decided to creatively transform my workspace to inspire more creativity. It’s a creative work in process but I’m liking it. Feels SO good to know I’m right where God called me to be And doing just what God has called me to do...all while knowing, it’s just the beginning! Someday one day I’ll have a whole creative team with a massively inspiring creative space where all of us creative nuts can create creative creations for the glory of God! 😁

Can I Just Be Nameless?

Can I Just Be Nameless?

The morning after my radical Holy Spirit encounter on 11•2•14 I asked the Lord how He wanted me to serve Him...He said to use the gift of writing He’s given me to blog about my faith journey. I obeyed. I started @raised.to.life. The in January 2017 He urged me to launch my website HeatherFerroni.com. [I explained my heart pretty candidly in HeatherFerroni.com…Really?!] Though I didn’t want to, I did. I never wanted the message to be around me, the messenger. But I felt Holy Spirit encourage me by saying “Heather, people have whole books of the Bible titled after their name. How do you think they feel? I’ve given you your name as an identifier, use it.” So I have.

Over the course of the last few years as He’s shaped my identity, I’ve come to realize I have a multifaceted calling. I don’t have a “niche” or a “target audience”. Lately I’ve been thinking, neither did Jesus. And we’re called to be like Him. It’s His message that matters. I don’t care to market myself, He’s marked me. He has and continues to stretch me and mold me and He has full editing rights to use me however He wants. It’s been an amazing and wild ride as I reflect on all the different ways I’ve been entrusted to build His Kingdom. And it’s only just the beginning. I’m in no hurry to get anywhere, not kicking down doors, not striving to network myself for the sake of popularity. I truly just enjoy meeting new people and having quality Kingdom conversations. I’ve learned to love all the different expressions, sounds and styles of His church. I see no superiority yet a lot of conformity. In any case I’m just learning to work with what He’s put in my hands the best that I can. Doesn’t mean I always “get it right” I’m learning; it’s a process. Some champion me, others criticize me. I press on toward the mark for the prize that is already mine. [Phil 3:14]
•••
My encouragement to you, friend, is to stay in a state of surrender in your servanthood. Be willing to switch gears as He leads. Some people are content with comfort zones others of us embrace change. Just stay in your lane and champion others in theirs. After all, we are all ONE BODY with many members & we don’t all serve the same function. [Romans 12:4] It’s all about The Message [of Jesus] not any one messenger.

Authority in the Storms of Life

Authority in the Storms of Life

Do you find yourself in the storms of life? Perhaps you've experienced actual natural disasters or are in the midst of an intense spiritual storm....in this video we discuss authority in the storms and how to maintain your peace by faithfully believing in the promises of God.

Spiritual warfare is real but thankfully we are overcomers through the power of Jesus!

You may have noticed less blogs being published lately. Partly because my focus has been primarily on my family and also because God has asked that I begin to use YouTube more to produce encouraging content and initiate Kingdom Conversations.

I’d be honored if you’d subscribe to the channel and invite a few friends! I love to hear from you in the comments of the blog & YouTube how these messages are impacting you and what other topics you’d suggest!

In this NEW season, I feel the Lord calling me to create more vide
