Assumptions are Silly

Assumptions are Silly

I betcha so much inner chaos could have been avoided had I just had the courage to inquire instead of assuming.
Too often I read into things, overanalyze and take things as a personal attack and get offended without even considering that what was said may not have had anything to do with me. Or maybe I read into what wasn’t being said....
I’m often on the other end of these silly assumptions and misunderstandings as well. Sometimes people take what I’m NOT saying as what I am saying. That’s what’s can be hard sometimes especially in this world of social media, right?
So, sweet friend, if something I say or do feels personal or pointed, I invite you to simply reach out and initiate a quality conversation for the sake of clarity and connection. I wouldn’t want you to misunderstand something I say or to inadvertently offend you. I hope I am approachable enough to say, “Hey, could you help me understand what you meant by that?” I promise not to be defensive as long as there’s an openness to understand one another. No one likes their backs against a wall feeling defensive because of assumptions and accusations. Staying in curiosity is key to connection. It’s a principle I learned from the core values at Keller Williams as well as #KYLO.

Creatives Space for Creatives

Creatives Space for Creatives

A look inside a creative mind —>
Is there enough natural light?
Is there high energy allowed in the space?
Is it too cluttered or are there distractions that will take away from my creative flow?
Is it a free open space for me to move around?
Can I be messy during my creative process?
These are just a few elements I sort through when in the creative zone. I’m a complete nut 🥜. Anyone relate?!
My office space was so uninviting for my creative flow. It was hard to focus and have freedom to flow in my nutty creative brain. So, I decided to creatively transform my workspace to inspire more creativity. It’s a creative work in process but I’m liking it. Feels SO good to know I’m right where God called me to be And doing just what God has called me to do...all while knowing, it’s just the beginning! Someday one day I’ll have a whole creative team with a massively inspiring creative space where all of us creative nuts can create creative creations for the glory of God! 😁

Can I Just Be Nameless?

Can I Just Be Nameless?

The morning after my radical Holy Spirit encounter on 11•2•14 I asked the Lord how He wanted me to serve Him...He said to use the gift of writing He’s given me to blog about my faith journey. I obeyed. I started @raised.to.life. The in January 2017 He urged me to launch my website HeatherFerroni.com. [I explained my heart pretty candidly in HeatherFerroni.com…Really?!] Though I didn’t want to, I did. I never wanted the message to be around me, the messenger. But I felt Holy Spirit encourage me by saying “Heather, people have whole books of the Bible titled after their name. How do you think they feel? I’ve given you your name as an identifier, use it.” So I have.

Over the course of the last few years as He’s shaped my identity, I’ve come to realize I have a multifaceted calling. I don’t have a “niche” or a “target audience”. Lately I’ve been thinking, neither did Jesus. And we’re called to be like Him. It’s His message that matters. I don’t care to market myself, He’s marked me. He has and continues to stretch me and mold me and He has full editing rights to use me however He wants. It’s been an amazing and wild ride as I reflect on all the different ways I’ve been entrusted to build His Kingdom. And it’s only just the beginning. I’m in no hurry to get anywhere, not kicking down doors, not striving to network myself for the sake of popularity. I truly just enjoy meeting new people and having quality Kingdom conversations. I’ve learned to love all the different expressions, sounds and styles of His church. I see no superiority yet a lot of conformity. In any case I’m just learning to work with what He’s put in my hands the best that I can. Doesn’t mean I always “get it right” I’m learning; it’s a process. Some champion me, others criticize me. I press on toward the mark for the prize that is already mine. [Phil 3:14]
My encouragement to you, friend, is to stay in a state of surrender in your servanthood. Be willing to switch gears as He leads. Some people are content with comfort zones others of us embrace change. Just stay in your lane and champion others in theirs. After all, we are all ONE BODY with many members & we don’t all serve the same function. [Romans 12:4] It’s all about The Message [of Jesus] not any one messenger.

Guess what? We all make mistakes! It’s a normal part of being human!

Even those called in the ministry (which is every professing Christian, by the way) is bound to make mistakes. I don’t know about you, but I appreciate when leaders courageously share their journey of sanctification and the lessons learned through mistakes.

In today’s journal I share some major ways God has been working on my heart this year. Here are 5 Ministry Mistakes I’ve Made and The Lessons I’ve Learned.

In today’s #DailyDownload I share with you how I was personally challenged by my own message of rejection yesterday as I was confronted with a bunch of “unfollows” from people I’ve walked alongside for years. I confess, I wanted to QUIT! I share with you my personal study of learning to encourage myself in the Lord {just as David did in 1 Samuel 30:6}. I also give you some worship songs that have been ministering to me and some YouTube messages that have been encouraging me through the processing.

Wonderfully empowered by 1 Thessalonians 2:4, “For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives our our hearts.”

Feel free to share this message with a friend :)

Wondering What the MORE is in "There is More?"

Wondering What the MORE is in "There is More?"

Many people are feeling a subtle yet deep dissatisfaction in their spirits and questioning what the “MORE” is in “There is MORE”. This global prophetic offering is circulating the globe and is calling the Body of Christ out of comfort and convenience into complete alignment with God. This is an exciting time of prayer and fasting as we look inwardly and ask God to reveal to us how we can partner with Him to bring His glory to the earth for generations to come!

12 Qualities of Kingdom Leaders

12 Qualities of Kingdom Leaders

We all know the scripture that says, "There's wisdom in the multitude of counsel" (Proverbs 11:14), right? But the truth I've found is that it's important to choose our counselors wisely. Though scripture tells us that we are to submit to authorities and leadership, it also cautions us to guard our hearts because out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Giving access to our hearts to people solely based on their title or position can be incredibly destructive if not done so with discernment. This morning I asked God to reveal qualities of a leader who leads with Kingdom values in accordance with His anointing. In a matter of moments, He downloaded the following list:

These attributes are universal for Christ-following leaders in every sphere of influence:

1. Their Fruit is evident & authentic.

The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23). This fruit should not only be evident but proven to be authentic. A few years ago, the Lord spoke to me about this and said, "Even fake fruit looks delicious from afar." Some fruit is plastic or styrofoam. This is why it is important to establish a quality relationship so that you are able to adequately investigate the fruit. Allow for some time and testing to happen before you entrust them to be a voice of counsel in your life.

Scripture tells us that leaders operating with His name must "live above reproach" (1 Timothy 3:2). Meaning, they take any measures necessary to guard and protect themselves, their spouses and families and the hearts of their constituents. They live a life of honor and put healthy boundaries in place to avoid compromising situations or conduct themselves in ways that could even be perceived as questionable.

2. They're honest about their struggles & weaknesses.

This takes courage and vulnerability. Kingdom Leaders are less concerned about the perception of perfection but know that Transparency Transforms. By being open about their struggles and weaknesses, it increases intimacy through relatability. Who wants to follow a leader that falsely portrays they have it all together, lives in fear of appearing weak or perfectly polished and put together? This is real life and at times, it's less than glamorous. Kingdom Leaders aren't afraid to share the less-than-perfect stuff because they're confident in who they are in Christ and are committed to the sanctification process.

As The great Apostle Paul says "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Steven Furtick once said the most powerful way to connect and minister is to simply say, "Me too!"

3. They model a life with healthy balance.

Kingdom Leaders model and maintain boundaries and don't buy into the lie they always have to be "on call" nor do they expect you to always be "on call." As you witness their lives, you will notice Kingdom Leaders as people who are devoted to intimate time with God,  prioritize family, strive for rest (Hebrews 4:11), and know that not everything that is emergent is an emergency. Not only do they live this way, they encourage you to do the same and do not encroach on your time simply because it's convenient or urgent for them.

4. They take interest in your personal, professional and spiritual life.

Kingdom Leaders care more about YOU and not just about what you DO. They invest time with you and express interest in all areas of your life. They show genuine care and compassion if there are challenges in your family, difficulty in your job, issues with your health, and areas in need of spiritual strengthening. They are genuinely concerned with your overall health and recognize that you are valuable and worth investing in.

5. They honor their leaders.

Even great leaders need great leaders. (Examples: Steven Furtick is pastored by Craig Groeschell, Christine Caine by Joyce Meyer, Havilah Cunnington by Lisa Bevere, Kris Vallotton by Bill Johnson). A Kingdom Leader speaks well of their leadership and shows them honor, even if they don't fully understand or agree. They can speak of challenges in a way that is encouraging and helpful and are willing to disclose not just what they're GOING through, but what they're GROWING through with their leadership. They're glad to talk about what they've learned in their journey through correction and submission recognizing the Biblical principle that we all reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7).

6. Kingdom Leaders are learners.

Kingdom Leaders are always on the journey of growth and improvement. They take time to seek out wisdom and counsel,  mentorship, and guidance and to enhance their interpersonal communication and leadership skills. They will have a library of resources to recommend such as books, podcasts, classes, etc. They don't claim to know everything about everything but they position themselves to be a resource to The Source.

7. They foster environments where failure is viewed as fertilization.

A Kingdom Leader knows that failure is inevitable and it's a vital part of the growth process. They do not address failure with condemnation or shame, nor do they exclude or excommunicate. Instead, they journey through failures showing grace (love and forgiveness as well as empowerment and encouragement). They openly take responsibility for their part in failure and do not use blame and shame tactics. They partner with Holy Spirit and echo His counsel as Advocate and call you UP (into your kingdom identity) and not call you OUT.

8. They give space for you to express your ideas, concerns and solutions.

Kingdom Leaders are not bullies, managers or dictators. They create space for you to bring your thoughts and ideas to the table. Though your ideas may not be aligned with the overall vision, the timing may be off or it's just not a probable solution, they show gratitude for your willingness to come forth with your input.

9. They champion your gifts and talents & challenge your weaknesses.

Kingdom Leaders know the great responsibility they have to coach you into your greatness not simply exploit or abuse your gifts solely for their benefit. They aim to position you for success. They want you to be in positions where you will thrive and grow.

Kingdom Leaders will also challenge you with truth and love and will often push you beyond your comfort zone and be there to cheer you along in your growth process. They will challenge your limiting beliefs, deconstruct your fears, stretch your capacity, and cause you to dig deep even when it's uncomfortable. They will always draw your attention heavenward and inward before passing judgment, taking sides, or coming to conclusions without due diligence.

10. They celebrate your God-given uniqueness.

Kingdom Leaders understand you're an intentionally designed Child of God. They aim to see you how God sees you and embrace how He's made you. They will not criticize what they don't understand, try to "reel you in" (as if you're a fish), or attempt to control you and make you conform to the image of who THEY think you should be. They partner with God and help you navigate your unique qualities. They understand that you can still have unity and be individually unique.

Unity without diversity is conformity.
— Bill Johnson

11. They understand healthy confrontation.

Kingdom Leaders don't shy away from confronting things head on to avoid confusion, misinterpretation, accusation or assumption. They are comfortable having a conversation without preconceived notions to truly seek to understand before being understood. Kingdom Leaders have a great responsibility to care for a wide range of people and there undoubtedly will be times when correction is needed. They simply approach each situation with Kingdom solutions as their goal. They speak with directness, not ambiguity, with sternness wrapped in love. They confront quickly so as not to allow room for offense or defensiveness to harbor. They don't passively shrink back, stone wall or give the silent treatment. They address what needs to be addressed and do so with an open heart knowing they may not have all the information and that their perception may be in error.

12. They don't mistake ministry for manipulation.

Kingdom Leaders who are called by God understand that creating a safe place to be fully accepted and able to express who you are doesn't mean you're always going to agree. The Lord is seeing a large movement toward family-like discipleship and promoting covenant family as a means to disciple. While this ideology isn't necessarily unbiblical (we see the Apostle Paul speaking of Timothy as his spiritual son), there is a fine line of caution to address. Kingdom Leaders must be careful to check their heart. If claiming you have tons of "Spiritual sons and daughters" brings you a sense of pride, this could border on sin. Furthermore, leaders who use the covenant family concept to control or manipulate by asserting authority for personal agenda are not operating with Kingdom Leadership. Kingdom Leaders aren't looking to prop themselves up on pedestals of people's hearts which makes them an idol or striving for authority to satisfy one's need for significance. Instead, Kingdom Leaders know that CHRIST is the head of The Church and that above ALL, God is our Father.

What qualities do you value most in Kingdom leadership?

A Prophetic Message for Someone Feeling Anxious, Stressed & Restless

A Prophetic Message for Someone Feeling Anxious, Stressed & Restless

Have you been feeling anxious, stress and restless? It seems to be a common theme. But don’t worry, Dear One…God is stirring up a new thing in you. In this prophetic message, Heather Ferroni shares an empowering word for you to reclaim your authority in Jesus and trample the sneaky tactics of the enemy trying to get you down!

April 23rd - A Significant Day in Biblical History. A Word of Encouragement from Daniel.

A Word of Encouragement As You're Praying and Fasting for Breakthrough

Did you know April 23rd is a significant day in Biblical history? Come journey with me through Daniel chapter 10 to unpack the prophetic vision and Christ encounter with Daniel. Here we can extract a powerful word of encouragement and leave empowered through whatever season you find yourself in!

Grab your Bible & let's turn to Daniel Chapter 10

Your translation may say (verse 4) this event happened on the 24th day of the 1st month...this is in reference to the ancient Hebrew lunar calendar. This date can be cross-checked with dates surviving Persian records and can be related accurately to our modern calendar. This event occurred on April 23, 536 B.C.

What can we take from this message:

1. Don't let the supernatural scare you out of having a God encounter.

As we see in verse 7, the men that were with Daniel were suddenly terrified and ran away to hide. Don't be like these men and be afraid of an encounter with God and miss out on a powerful vision from God.

2. God hears your prayers and sends messengers on assignment to help you.

Just as the messenger (Christ pre-incarnate) assured Daniel in verse 12, "Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer." The same is true for you. Highlight this verse, write it down, have it readily available to encourage you if you're in a season of intense prayer and fasting while waiting for breakthrough. God is faithful and your prayers are powerful!

3. Your prayers activate heaven and aggravate the spiritual forces of darkness.

Stand in confidence knowing that God is faithful and hears your prayers. If you're experiencing the frustration of delay, it just may be that things are happening in the spirit realm beyond your understanding. After all, as we learn in Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

As the Messenger told Daniel, his prayers reached heaven on day one but that spiritual forces were blocking or preventing help to come. Be encouraged by Daniel's persistence in prayer and fasting!

4. Don't believe the lie that you are unworthy or incapable of having direct access to hear from God, gain heavenly insight & be a heaven-sent solution

Just as God used Daniel in powerfully prophetic ways to be a heaven-sent solution who was entrusted with great vision and insight, God is equally eager to use you! Don't enable the spirit of insecurity to deceive you into believing you're unworthy or incapable of hearing from God. Let this be a confirming word that He WANTS to work through you for Kingdom purpose. You ARE a change-agent in this generation and your prophetic voice is valuable!

Under the New Testament, we are no longer living in a visitational culture, but a habitational culture.

God is within you and He wants us to abide with Him (John 15) so that we can hear Him, see Him, feel Him and partner with Him as representatives, change-agents, world impactors so that we can help restore this earth as He would have it in Heaven. God uses the voices of His people to speak truth and life as they obediently release words of prophecy and wisdom to build up, encourage and empower the Body of Christ, His Church. Why WOULDN'T God want to use YOU!?

As Joel 2:28-30 & Acts 2:17-21 tells us, "I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on the servants - men and women alike. And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth - blood and fire and columns of smoke.

Will you continue to pray and fast even when you don't see immediate breakthrough? Will you continue to contend and have faith that heaven hears your prayers? Will you commit to remaining in peace and lean into the supernatural workings of God believing that you are a valuable power player for the Kingdom of God? Will you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, with your ear inclined to Him and obediently release the solutions given to you through your encounter with Him to prophetically encourage, equip, edify and exhort the Body of Christ in these end-time days?

Receive it. Release it. In Jesus' name!

Was this message encouraging for you today? Please share with a friend in need! I'd love to hear your prayer requests in the comments below or, as always, I'm always just a message away!

3 Major Ways God Is Moving in the Marketplace, Music Industry & The Hearts of Men - Prophetic Vision

3 Major Ways God is Moving in the Marketplace, Music Industry & in the Hearts of Men

Check out this Video!

While in deep worship the other day, I received vivid prophetic vision regarding 3 main ways Holy Spirit is on the move! Let's celebrate!

For those with the gift of prayer and intercession, this may just bring language to what you've already been sensing. For others that are still learning to incline their ear to the Lord, this news is an invitation to pray and believe, ignite your expectation and celebrate in advance for all that God is doing! Hallelujah!

Holy Spirit is grieving in some ways because He's been rejected, neglected, forgotten or set as second fiddle. He's wanting to reclaim His leadership in The Church. He does so by transforming people's hearts, giving them new vision, guidance, insight to the things of Heaven. But His work is not limited to church buildings. He showed me in this vision He's invading hearts and we will see that manifest in 3 major ways:

1. In the Marketplace

I heard in my spirit over and over, as real as an audible sound of paper ripping. The Lord showed me He is invading hearts of business owners, CEO's, and high-level leaders of big organizations, both in secular spheres and religous. He is coming upon them mightily and convicting their hearts. They will walk into board meetings, staff meetings and rip plans apart and throw them away. I saw papers being swept off desks and conference room tables into the trash. These leaders will approach their teams and declare that God has grabbed ahold of their hearts and things are about to change - organizational structures, missions and values, plans and projects...from top to bottom, left to right, everything is changing!

If this happens in your world, don't worry or freak out. Trust that God is on the move and this is for His glory! Hallelujah!

2. Music & Entertainment

Though I personally know nothing about music and production, the Lord showed me He's giving a new heart to music producers all over the world. In an instant, He will gain their hearts and attention leading them to be convicted to walk into music studios and immediately resign. They'll confess they've been convicted by God and can no longer produce music that is dishonoring God. They'll boldly face any lawsuits or financial recompense for leaving songs undone and albums unfinished. They will begin to use their same gift, passion, talent and skill to align with Holy Spirit to produce content that is God-glorifying.

I also saw entertainers being radically transformed by God's grace. They will make bold changes to their set list, stage design and wardrobe choices.

Keep watch...you should expect to see these changes hit the media! It won't be a secret. This is a word of the Lord, and it will not come up dry. Hallelujah!

3. Holy Spirit is touching the hearts of men and reinstituting God-given masculinity.

In the vision I saw Holy Spirit coming upon the hearts of men all over the world. He will convict (enable them to see into their error & empower them to change) them to submit their flesh and desires to God. Single men that have been sexually irresponsible with their girlfriends will repent and approach them asking for forgiveness and take a stand for sexual purity. They will confess they have been sexually irresponsible and harmful to God's daughters and will no longer partake in premarital sex in order to glorify God.

Men that have struggled with other sexual impurities, such as addiction to pornography will confess, repent and be set free by the masses. For those that have been involved in affairs will also cease and desist their activities and humbly approach all that have been wounded and they will commit to the healing and restoration process!

So if you've been praying for your husband, boyfriend, son, or grandson or you know someone that is...stand on this truth and praise God for all He's doing!

Have you been praying about these topics? Do you have a praise to share! Let's confirm the word in the comments below. and, as always, I'm always just a message away!

My Current Favorites

Who else loves a good recommendation? I do! So for today's post, I thought I'd share some of my recent favorites!

Many of my friends know I have had a tendency to neglect my health. Like to the extreme. I haven't been to the gym in a few years and I have difficulty with eating. In fact, for the first time ever I'm going to confess, it was a borderline eating disorder. Not that I was bulimic or anorexic, but I had issues with eating. I'm comfortable with my body and I love food but because my relationship with food is connected to a social experience, I found that because I spend so much time alone, I found eating to be an inconvenience. And when I'm super busy, intensely focused or stressed (which is pretty much always), that part of my brain that says, "Hey silly, you haven't eaten in 16 hours!" didn't seem to work. I upgraded to the Fitbit Ionic recently and have been enjoying tracking my activity, exercise, water intake and nutrition. It's been super fun to set goals for myself and even participate in challenges with friends. Do you have a FitBit? If so, let's connect there and encourage one another!

I used to be a complete caffeine addict. A friend helped me realize recently, however, that it could be a sensitivity to caffeine that was triggering feelings of anxiety. I've since been limiting coffee, Diet Coke and green Redbull intake and have felt so much better!  I've been a big fan of Amino Energy because all flavors are so delicious. I get some energy, vitamins, a tad bit of caffeine and it's helped with focus. I've had a few friends try it and they all LOVE it! I promise, you'll love it too! And it's super convenient to put a couple scoops in little baggies to throw in my purse or work bag so that I can mix up a yummy drink any time I'm on the go.

Alright, I'm SO not a runner. Never have been. But I've really been making a greater effort to get out and walk. Last week alone I walked 33.26 miles and completed over 86,000 steps. It's been awesome to step away from my computer, soak in some sunshine and Vitamin D and go on a worship walk in this nice Arizona spring weather (Somes up to 2 hours/day!). I didn't enjoy carrying my big 'ol phone in my hand so I did some research and someone recommended the Flip Belt. I didn't want to spend $30 on it so I found a lesser expensive alternative and let me tell you, it's AWESOME!

I get asked ALLLLLLLL the time how I can manage so much in life. I have a business, a ministry, church responsibilities, side projects and ideas and just the to-do's of everyday life. I'm a big list maker and found that I was getting spun out and overwhelmed when I had one giant list of to-do's. Instead of having a zillion notes everywhere or things getting lost in the many productivity apps I tried, I've been using the Arc Notebook for a few years. I found it's easier to have a 5-tab organization system with notes, ideas, and to-do's so that I can stay focused on one thing at a time and yet still have everything in one place.

Would you believe I get comments and messages frequently asking how I keep my teeth so white?! It makes me laugh! I have been using 5 Minute White for about 3 years now and it's spectacular! I kid you not, I've recommended this to no less than 6 of my friends. All of them have purchased it and ALL of them have gotten great results. Super easy and inexpensive!

Alright so, I love makeup. And for the past several years my go-to has been the inexpensive NYX concealer. That is, until a lovely beauty blogger raved about the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and I used my sisters did I understand the rave. It's like I have a complete face now...it's the piece that's been missing all these years! It just brightens my eyes up, makes me look fresh, awake and put together. It helps, ya know...because how many of you know, we don't always FEEL fresh, awake and put together?! {And my Mama friends say "Amen!"}.

I always love a good recommendation...what are some of your favorite Amazon finds?
