The Gift of Prophesy ••• Spiritual gifts are available to all. They’re to be shared, not withheld. They carry power, Faith, hope and encouragement. They speak life and identity. When I receive a prophetic word, or get a message of confirmation that a word I shared aligned with Holy Spirit to minister to someone’s heart, I screenshot and save them to an album in my phone titled “Encouragement”. I reflect back on them regularly to keep me going. Because, I’ll be honest, there are times when I’m pouring out of an empty cup or I question if what I’m doing is pleasing to God. ••• I share some of the many words I’ve received not to confirm my gift but to encourage you in yours. Learn to seek and listen for the Heart of our Father. Ask Him to show you things, to impress upon your heart a word to share with one of His Beloveds. Take the risk. Step out in faith. Be a messenger. Let Holy Spirit speak through you. Your obedience can change lives! Go for it! ••• Just read what Paul has to say: “You should seek after love, and you should truly want to have the spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. I will explain why. Those who have the gift of speaking in different languages are not speaking to people; they are speaking to God. No one understands them; they are speaking secret things through the Spirit. But those who prophesy are speaking to people to give them strength, encouragement, and comfort. The ones who speak in different languages are helping only themselves, but those who prophesy are helping the whole church. I wish all of you had the gift of speaking in different kinds of languages, but more, I wish you would prophesy. Those who prophesy are greater than those who can only speak in different languages—unless someone is there who can explain what is said so that the whole church can be helped.” 1 Corinthians 14:1-5 Wow! God is SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! It’s a high honor to get to be enlisted to petition Heaven in prayer. It’s an even greater honor when people circle back to let you celebrate God’s faithfulness! When I get Praise reports/testimonies/#glorystories I screenshot them an save them to an album in my phone called “Encouragement”. When I’m having a rough day or find myself in a crisis of faith, I look back at them and get reignited with hope! ••• Testimonies carry so much power! I’d love for you to share a glory story about how God has answered your prayers so that others scrolling through can be encouraged! ••• How has God answered your prayers? ••• How may I be praying for you? So precise! The margin of disappointment increases when we expect more than what’s realistic. So often I see leaders with high expectations but with little grasp on reality. We have to be willing to face reality. We have to learn to look introspectively and instead of blaming or shaming others for not meeting our expectations, we need to learn to ask better questions. What’s their capacity? Do they have the skills, knowledge, training, experience, and tools needed to accomplish the mission? If not, how can we invest in them? If the results aren’t what you were aiming toward, evaluate the process. Are there missing pieces, factors overlooked? What can you learn from your experience? How could you tweak the process next time? Are you willing to try new things? It’s easy to point out problems...but (as my mentor encouraged me today) we need to be solution finders. After all, we are given the mind of Christ. We have Holy Spirit as our guide. We totally have what it takes to be the creative solution bringers to what’s broken. ••• Just growing through what I’m going through ••• Check out this brilliant artist and creativepreneur @allikdesign ・・・ Becoming your own boss is rewarding and amazing...but recently I’ve actually became a boss to other people and it’s a whooooole new world. It’s fun yet challenging and to be honest I’m learning as I go. Mistake one. I easily fall into “task mode” only giving them tasks to do and then them only completely those tasks. There was no motivation or growth or inspiration...and it was boring. So I’ve refocused us to be in “goal mode” short and long term goals with daily ones in between. I want them to learn and to be inspired while also make money and grow a business. It’s a lot. But like the wall says. You gotta inspect. Progress made and process needed. Asking questions and staying in communication is the way to hit that success. // mural I did for an marketing office giving them this daily reminder. Anyone else [especially my fellow enneagram 8’s] struggle with resting?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I do! Some say I don’t have a “slow speed”. For most of my life I wore “busy” as a badge of honor. Ha! That is, until I experienced BURNOUT more times than I could count! I’m learning to STRIVE for rest, seeing it as a holy and healthy endeavor as we see in the passage below 👇🏼 ••• “So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore STRIVE to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:9-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ ••• #Repost @julesabell ・・・ So the year is well and truly of an RUNNING... in the midst of everything, to seek out ENTERING HIS REST is one of the KINDEST and most Holy things we can do for ourselves. God is always waiting in anticipation for us to find that place with Him. “God’s promise if entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.” Hebrews 4:1 NLT Tonight my Grandpa asked me: “Hey, have you tried online dating?!” ••• I squirmed in my chair. Yes. I have. 😏 A couple times curiosity got the better of me and I did some trials. I attempted to explain how uncomfortable of an experience it was. I know of a few success stories and they’re worthy of celebration. But for me, it’s just not my style. Putting up an advertisement for myself in hopes of finding the hot + Holy husband I’ve been praying and believing for just doesn’t seem probable online. Probability. Ha! 🤣 Probabilities when you really break them down can be discouraging. I’m 32 (nearly 33) with a high calling on my life. One that most wouldn’t want to sign up for unless they have the same calling. It goes beyond comfort and compatibility- what my spirit longs for is covenant. ••• I drove away praying. Asking God to return HOPE to my heart again. Hope = CONFIDENT EXPECTATION. Proverbs 13:12 says: “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” ••• I’ve spent too much time heartsick with hope deferment. So I asked God to help me reignite hope and reset my mind from improbability to Heavens promise. I believe the tree of life awaits me in my longing fulfilled. Though I believe, there may be moments when I struggle, and I pray “Lord help me with my unbelief!” ••• In my prayer, this song came to mind. Swipe to peep the lyrics. What sticks out most to me is “Faith makes a fool of what makes sense.” ••• Idk if you’re like me awaiting the promise of your covenant spouse or if you’re in the waiting of other promises to come to pass....my hope is simply that you’ll fix your mind on God’s promises for you, proclaim + prophesy. Keep your heart anchored in hope and wait with CONFIDENT EXPECTATION that faith will make a fool of what makes sense and though things may SEEM improbable, everything is possible with God! 🖤 Do you realize that God gave us work BEFORE the fall of humanity? It’s not a curse...it’s a form of worship! It’s a response of honor + gratitude for what God has created and what He’s entrusted to us to care for. ••• What would it be like if we worked as worship with joy instead of complaining and cursing? Many of us are waiting for God’s promises to come to fruition. These promises are rooted in faith. As we wait, let’s trust that God is working on a solid root system that will sustain the growth of promised fruits. Fruit contains seeds which yield a harvest of more fruit. Therefore the fruit of your promises are not solely for your benefit but for the betterment of the Body of Christ. What you contain are seeds of faith that will be replanted as an impartation to others! Stop 🛑 and ponder that for a second! ••• “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ ••• “Thieves are jealous of each other’s loot, but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Ponder this! ••• #Repost @anchoredbeliefs ・・・ ⚓️ Be in the world, but not of it. ⚓️ Tag a friend. #anchoredbeliefs R E M I N D E R ——————— Not everyone gets the privilege of getting a front row seat to your life. The Front Row is reserved for friends and family, trusted advisors + mentors. They’re you’re tested and true ones. They’re given a special pass, cleared through your security filter. It’s healthy to define your boundaries. Many will try to squeeze their way up front. We must learn to lovingly redirect them. Front Row people have a seat of honor in your life, and YES...it’s IS an honor. Look, Jesus had the trusted twelve, right? Your Front Row matters. They give you life through constructive, loving, edifying, encouraging feedback. They are your loudest cheering section. They don’t aim to tear you down, degrade you, accuse you or slander you. Critics don’t belong in your front row. ••• Do you need to re-evaluate your seating arrangements? #TheWarIsReal. But wisdom is knowledge WITH experience. Let us never become so prideful in our knowledge that we forget the value of gleaning wisdom from our elders! Their life experience is highly valuable. We mustn’t take that for granted. Sit at the feet of elders, ask lots of questions, admit that you don’t know it all and soak up all they share! ••• Lately I’ve been soaking in tons of teaching from great saints and learning about historical revivals. What was different about them? How were they able to attract large masses without modern day promotion? I’ve learned it was the power of the Holy Spirit and obedient servants that simply lingered longer in His presence. ••• When we simply seek for His Fire to burn, the masses will come to watch and get caught in it. The embers of the fire are taken into their spheres of influence and the culture was set ablaze for God’s glory! ••• Revival is NOT a formula. There is no “recipe”. Revivals ended when man got in the way of Heavens power. ••• Now THAT’S some solid wisdom right there! ••• Who are you learning from? 🖤
Declare this when you’re in the waiting. Hold onto His promises. Keep going. Keep growing. 🖤
